During my thirty plus years as a public teacher, I have taught high school geography, American history, world history, leadership classes, German 1 - 4, and dual credit history classes. I have sponsored more students than I can remember at competitions throughout the state of Texas and have led travel groups of young adults to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.
I very much enjoy education and learning through traveling. My greatest joy is to watch Twain's prophetic words in action, "Travel is fatal to prejudice." Traveling with students is an eye opening experience and they teach me as much as I teach them.
I volunteer with AYSO as a referee, coach, and board member which keeps me generally active and busy! I enjoy watching soccer whenever possible.
Educator, traveler, historian, married with children, Germanophile. BA and MA in history with a concentration in military history with a German minor.
