Ronna Ross Pennington is a former newspaper and radio news writer, editor, and general manager who now works in the field of distance education at the community college level. She has won numerous awards from the Arkansas Press Association as well as recognition from Henderson State University's literary journal, The Proscenium, for creative non-fiction and poetry.
Ronna is a ghost writer for the craft industry and her own bylines can be seen on Yahoo!, eHow, Modern Mom and MapQuest. She is also writes and edits study guides for an educational supplier and has written lesson plans for high school to freshman-level college literature courses. She is currently researching local history for a book project.
She has a master's degree in social sciences/history from Henderson State University and is nearing the end of her MFA in creative nonfiction from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. In her free time, she enjoys researching Civil War stories and antique quilts...especially when the two tie together! She is currently working on a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Non-Fiction at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
