I am a husband, father, and grandfather. I was an elementary teacher for 14 years before becoming an associate professor of education at the University of Northern Iowa, USA, where I have been teaching elementary education methods since 2002. I hold a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Kansas State University, USA. In addition, I also hold a B.S. in Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University, USA, in which I studied earth sciences including the environment and conservation. I have published over 70 documents in a variety of media, based on my research and teaching. Through God’s mentorship, my overall theme is to advocate for the well-being of children, parents, teachers, and the environment through content literacy education in the sciences.
