Free German Essays on Daily Routines: Mein Tagesablauf
Mein Tagesablauf
Hello, essay writers! If you know that "Mein Tagesablauf" means "my daily routine," then you have already mastered the first step to your A-plus German essay. The next step is easy: Just write down what you do every day and when you are doing it. Nothing special, just the ordinary stuff like brushing your teeth or having dinner. Normally, your teacher doesn't ask for more than 200 or 300 words. That sounds like a lot, I know, but it is not. Just try to keep your German sentences in the correct word order. If you are really insecure about how to build a German sentence, then try to keep your sentences short and simple. I have read a lot of German texts written by native English speakers that I could not understand because the sentences were so twisted. So, if you need some inspiration, then look at my German short essays about "Mein Tagesablauf" below. The German text is followed by an English version and some vocabulary—as usual. If you need to write about a certain topic in German and need help, just let me know in the comments below and maybe I write an article about it... Good luck!
You Can Do It!
Daily Routine
And here is my English version:
I normally get up at 8 a.m. when I have to go to school. I go straight to the bathroom, then take a shower and get dressed. After that, I have cereal for breakfast and a hot chocolate. Then I brush my teeth and start walking to school. I live close to school, so I leave the house by 8:45 a.m. School starts at 9 a.m. I have my lunch break at noon and eat with my friends. I walk home at 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, I stay for two hours longer at school to play soccer. At home, I relax for half an hour and then do my assignments if there are any. After that, I either meet with friends or spend time with my family. I normally go to bed between 10 and 11 p.m., and I always read a book for half an hour before I sleep. On the weekend, I get up between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m., and I do not go to bed before midnight.
German Phrase of the Day
In every of my German-learning articles, I present another German saying (Sprichwort).
This time:
- durch dick und dünn = through thick and thin
Example: Sie gehen miteinander durch dick und dünn.
Meaning (roughly): They stay together through thick and thin.
Do not write your German essays or phrases by translating an English one. Although this phrase is really similar to the English one, I cannot recommend it in general. It could be embarrassing for you...
