How do you write a summary of a research article?


Often students are asked to write a short summary of the articles they use in a research paper. These are often fairly short, and are sometimes called an "annotated bibliography" or a "survey of sources." To write that sort of summary, you will read the whole article through and then write only the main idea in a few sentences. You may also be required to explain how you are going to use that article in your research. I have an explanation and examples in this article:
