I was given a goose and a gander. They lived with my chickens and ducks happily in my poultry-yard until the goose started sitting on her eggs. The gander killed several of my ducks before I realized that he was the culprit. I relocated the pair to a large dog run with a dog house, and she accepted the eggs I had moved. Is this aggression normal? Will he be cool again?
They can be quite aggressive and territorial, but I've never heard of them killing ducks. Maybe they didn't have enough space when they all lived together? Geese sitting eggs will definitely be more aggressive as they protect their nest.
