You can present your IELTS certificate at the embassy even if it is passed its validation date as long as it was the same certificate you used in securing admission. Since a university has granted you admission, this means it was valid during the time of your university application, and that is what matters most.
I applied to HAW Hamburg through Uni-assist and have received a conditional admission letter for a masters program. The master’s program is taught in German, and before I commence the program, I would have to learn the German language at an Institute in Berlin. I have not given the IELTS yet and plan on taking it on the 18th of February. However, my IELTS score and certificate won’t be out by the time I appear for my visa interview. Will this have any effect on my visa application?
I have got admission for MS at the University of Erlangen. I had my Visa Interview at the Mumbai Consulate on 1st August 16. As per the course requirement, I had submitted a letter from my graduating University in India, that the medium of instruction for four years of study was in English and hence my IELTS score requirement was waived off. But now I am worried that because I have not taken IELTS, my visa might get rejected even after a good visa interview. Can you please shed some light on this?
My 12th intermediate was in pre-engineering where I obtained a percentage of 75. I also scored a 6.5 in the IELTS. My visa has been previously refused by the Canadian Embassy. I now intend to pursue a bachelors in Computer Science in English in Germany. What are my chances of securing an admission at a German University and how long till my IELTS certificate becomes invalid?
I have already secured an appointment for my visa interview. Unfortunately, I have a slight problem with my passport. It will be expiring in five months, and I have registered for my visa appointment with this passport. I would like to get a new passport but afraid that this might complicate things since the embassy has already entered my old passport's number and details into their database. Should I wait and get a new passport after my interview or it would be better to get one before the interview?
I have been admitted in OVGU Magdeburg for Msc chemical & energy engineering which is a fully English course and doesn't require any German certificate. I have A2 level of German (which I also submitted during my application) but the certificate is older than 12 months and so the embassy doesn't consider it valid. How should I represent my knowledge of German at the visa interview?
